Thank you for visiting my website. My name is James and I’m a young farmer based in South West Scotland.

I currently balance working with traditional Scottish Blackface sheep and Galloway Cattle on a small scale farm, conservation and estate work for the National Trust for Scotland and trying to pursue my own farming ambitions.

Originally from Wales, this website started off as a blog to keep my family and friends updated on what I was doing after moving north to Scotland, but it has developed over the years to include opinions on farming news, as well as my experiences and what I’m learning along the way.

As well as working with sheep and producing content for my own blog, I have written for a number of different publications including Farming Scotland magazine, and I have been featured in the Farmer’s Weekly and the Farmer’s Guardian.

To find out more about the services I offer, please visit the Contract Shepherding page and feel free to get in touch if you require any additional information.
